2011 Garden 3 - Chatswood
The Roberts-Shannon garden won Gold and Best Design for a Small Project Award at the 2010 national Landscapes of Distinction Awards. The judges noted that “This landscape design is truly beautiful and a stunning example of what can be achieved in a small garden setting. The subtle use of Japanese-style elements has created a calm contemplative space. Stone, gravel and timber provide a framework for native and exotic plants, and enhance the garden’s style and character.” The garden encompasses the Japanese-style courtyard, tracks through bird-filled native bush, and exceptionally rich and varied planting reflecting an enthusiast’s passion for unusual shrubs, perennials and edible plants.
