This family garden features a combination of paved terraces, paths and steps linking different parts of the corner property. The heart of the garden is the refurbished pool with new boundary treatments developed to add interest alongside. The pool cover is neatly tucked away beneath the deck at one end and a combination of glass and steel pool fencing ensures views of the pool from much of the garden. Dramatic planting by Barbara Garrett Planting Design contributes to the overall impact of these connecting spaces. The garden won a Silver Award for Design and a Silver Award for Construction in the Landscaping New Zealand Landscapes of Distinction Awards 2012.
