Auckland Garden DesignFest  2024 

 

The Auckland Garden DesignFest in late November 2024 was the most successful ever, raising over $70,000 for charities Dove Hospice & Wellness, Garden to Table, Youthline, Oke and Rotary Newmarket.

Over 1,000 people visited many of the gardens and the most common feedback was that visitors loved the variety and quality of gardens on offer. The quality was so high, most were doing their best to get around as many as possible.

​

Joint organisers of the Auckland Garden DesignFest - Garden Design Society of New Zealand, Rotary Newmarket and Dove Hospice & Wellness, were delighted with the result.

The festival was made possible by the incredible generosity of our garden owners opening their private gardens, our designers, alongside our very generous and supportive sponsors.

​​

And a huge SHOUT OUT to the enormous amounts of help given to the festival by over 220 volunteers. We simply could not have this event without YOU.

​

The Auckland Garden DesignFest is a biennial event and our next event is planned for Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November, 2026.

 

This unique event raises the profile of garden design, creates a sustainable platform for designers to show their work and craft, and proceeds from ticket sales go to chosen charities, a lot of whom benefit children and young people.
