The Auckland Garden DesignFest gives you a rare opportunity to visit private properties in the Auckland region

One of the conditions of entry to these properties is that all visitors accept responsibility for their own health and safety while there.

Many of the properties have pools and water features. Care must be taken.

Visitors are advised to not wander outside the designated property areas for their own safety.

We have done our best to analyse potential hazards and identify these within the garden. Please keep an eye out for signage.

Many gardens contain sloping or uneven surfaces including bricks, tiles, wooden sleepers and grass that can be slippery when wet. We encourage all visitors to wear appropriate footwear and exercise caution especially on on steep slopes. Be alert for low hanging branches when walking underneath tree canopies.

We regret that children under 12 cannot be admitted (unless young enough to be carried).

Animals are not allowed to enter the gardens, except for service animals

Please remember these are all private properties. While you’re welcome to explore within the designated property areas, the homes are not open. Please respect the privacy of our remarkably generous owners.

No smoking or vaping is permitted at any of the properties.

Please do not picnic, litter, smoke or consumer alcohol in any garden.

Please ensure you remove any of your belongings you bring with you into the properties. Owners are not responsible for disposing of rubbish or collecting and returning lost property.

Please do not touch the plants or take any part of them. Plant lists and personal identification of plants will be provided where possible.

Please keep to the paths and take care to avoid damaging lawns and foliage.

Gardens are open from 10am – 4pm each day. Please respect these hours.
