Ian has designed gardens for over 30 years. He taught at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Unitec for 19 years: in design studio, history and cultural landscapes. He has an interest in the way gardens continually become something new. A particular interest has been Japanese gardens. Ian is an accredited member of the Garden Design Society. He is the other half of HIKOI Garden Tours with Penny Cliffin.
