I have a love of natural landscapes and ecology and this inspires my garden designs. I firstly consider the characteristics of the wider landscape and design the garden to fit into this. In an urban setting this has different implications to a natural coastal or rural setting. I have a particular interest in NZ native trees and plants and love to incorporate them into my designs. I enjoy designing coastal gardens and have been involved in coastal restoration at Whangapoua for several years. I enjoy designing livable and productive gardens that work well for the clients, fit in with the architectural style of their house and the local environment, and that will thrive in that environment.
