In Valley Road is a grand double story villa, positioned at the top of a small right of way.  It sits on a large site with exceptionally strong features.  The design of the garden is very classic, reflecting the architecture and style of the house, it elegantly sweeps around providing stunning views from inside.

When Ian and Diana asked Val to design their garden, they were very open to ideas.  They love hydrangeas and ligularias and asked that they be included in the plant palette.

Existing mature natives majestically welcome you up the stunning driveway to the front of the house, where perfectly clipped, structured hedges balanced with overflowing hydrangeas and gardenias guide the visitor to the front door, around to the side of the house and the rear gardens.

Dominant rocks protruding from the ground were softened by using delicate Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’ and delicious Liguarlia reniformis.   Elegant Lagerstroemia Kimono curves around the steps framing the buxus balls and Stachys byzantina below.  The lawn level has been kept clear so the magnificent rear gardens can be admired from different rooms of the house.
